Choose God!

Surrendering, yielding, submitting, and living for God is the best thing I could have ever done. His joy surpasses anything I could have imagined. Through his grace and love my desire for the world has abated. I have not reached perfection and I never will, yet I strive for it daily. He instructs us to be holy as he is holy. So whatever it is that you are searching for, look to God and you shall find it. The world cannot heal you the way that The Lord can. The world cannot deliver you, only our heavenly father can do that. So I encourage you to choose God. Be blessed.

No devil!!!

Our father in heaven is so amazing. He gives hope to the hopeless. He's a friend to the friendless. He's a healer to the sick. He's a deliverer to those that are lost. God is everything that our soul's need and I am so grateful that he loved me enough to send his amazing son to die for me and you. Regardless of what the devil tries to plant in your head, remember that God created you with a purpose. You were wonderfully made by a powerful and mighty God. The devil doesn't want God's people to stand up and do what is right. He will do anything to distract you but today we tell the devil NO!!! No devil you cannot have my family! No devil you cannot have my marriage! You cannot have my mind! You cannot have my friendships! No devil you can and will not take what God has placed on the inside of me. Your tactics will not work because every obstacle you throw my way my GOD has an answer for. He wouldn't allow it to happen if he didn't have a response for it. Be encouraged people of God!!!

Hold on

I just want to share a recent testimony with you all. I hope that this may help someone else who is currently struggling with a situation and not sure where to turn, turn to God. Even when you can't see your blessing, believe that it's coming. I was so broken. I cried everyday for at least a month. I kept praying and speaking over myself. I knew that God was going to heal me and I held on to that. No matter how much I prayed I could not get myself together. I was overly emotional. I told God that I got myself into this but Lord I need your strength to get me through. August 25, 2014 I called into my friends Roxy prayer line and I started praying and when I started to pray I just started shaking and couldn't stop. When it was over I felt like a new creature. All the chains and bondage had just been broken in that moment. God healed my spirit and my heart. I was so down but the joy that has been given to me was worth everything that I endured. Someone may be crying every night and crying out to God. He hears you and he is with you, keep your focus on him. Trust his word.

James 1:2
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,

Peter 5:10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Having faith in God

       1. Brings you peace
       2. Gives you strength
       3. Keeps you going
       4. Makes the devil mad

I will praise The Lord everyday of my life. No one can take my praise away. I know times are hard but this is when we should lean on God the most. The devil attacks us when we are vulnerable but we must stay strong in The Lord. I praise God through the good times and the bad. I couldn't appreciate the good as much as I do if I didn't struggle to get here. Keep praying....things are going to get better.....this i know because the bible tells me so :)

You have to be content with being misunderstood and criticized sometimes. Everyone can't see what God has placed on your heart, so you can't expect them to understand your vision. Regardless of how hard it gets, don't give up. If you want it, fight for it. Everyday I tell myself "I will not lose". You have to encourage yourself, don't wait on anyone else to do it. If you're having a bad day, pray. Feel like giving up, pray. Confused, pray....whatever it is, pray. Don't let the devil trick you out of your blessing......just hold on.

God blessed us all with a gift, and that gift should be used to help each other. I always say "be a blessing to someone today", and you can do that simply by doing what God has called you to do. It may get difficult at times, but don't give up, don't give in. Keep your faith and trust in The Lord. I work two jobs and I go to school full time with a 4 year old so I know it's hard, but it can be done. You will never hear me complain instead you will hear me thanking God for the strength. My hard times don't even seem like hard times anymore. More than anything I want to get my PHD in Clinical Psychology and open my own practice. I know God is preparing me for that position and many others. He positioned me where I needed to be, even when I thought I belonged somewhere else. This is why the bible says trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight ( Proverbs 3:5-6). I had a goal with a plan to get there but God gave be a better route to get there. Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord......his way is always better!!

My prayer

Lord God, forgive me for not forgiving them. Help me to be more like Jesus. Make my heart pure, and sincere. Transform my mind so that I may think differently therefore I may act differently. Lord, I need you. There is no way I can stand alone. I pray that you fill me with your holy spirit. I want to dwell in your presence. I pray for my friends, family and even enemies. Help our soul, Lord. Guide our footsteps. In Jesus name......Amen

Ephesians 6:12

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world ( 1 John 4:4)

I love this verse. God is greater than anything that this world can throw at us. I read something the other day and I can't remember where it was, but it said that " God loves us as if we were his only". God tells us how much he loves us. I know that I have some people that love me, but I doubt it very seriously that they are willing to send their children as a sacrifice to save me. I love God with every thing in my body. When I read his word I get excited. The bible is great nourishment for your soul. It is impossible to study the bible and not feel some sense of relief. I keep smiling and looking to the hills but I know where my help is coming from.

It is nothing wrong with having standards, even though some may try to make you think otherwise. If you know what you bring to the table, why should you settle for nonsense? A good woman should want a good man and vice versa. People try to make you think that being single is a curse, but personally, I rather be single than be with someone that can't comprehend my worth. You and your partner have to be on the same page. You can't be into church and they are still "turning up" in the club. It won't work. Be patient and wait on the right one. The bible says he who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from The Lord ( Proverbs 18:22). And take note that the scripture says "HE who finds a WIFE" not SHE who finds HIM. Ladies don't be desperate, please. Desperate people take whatever they can get....don't be that woman.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

¹⁹Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; ²⁰you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

It's already better

Today my best friend called me and said that her mother was now at peace with the situation that she is in. They received some news that can be scary, but it can be overcome with The Lord. When she said that her mother told her "I feel better now" I began to pray because I know that God gives us peace, he gives us joy. I know that he can do anything.I began to shout. I gave God praise for what he is doing in their life. Sometimes God will allow the storm just to get you through. That storm builds strength, endurance, and faith. I turned on the radio and the song that began to play is William Murphy "Im praying for you".... It said "Its already better". I felt that was The Lord telling me that my friend and her family will be okay. It's already better....say it, believe it. Life is a lot easier once you realize where your help comes from.

Psalm 91:1-16
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

Isaiah 43:2-3

Embracing truth

I think people hide behind "Judge not, that ye be not judged.For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" Matthew CH 7:1-3. Telling the truth and being judgmental are two different things. The bible says Galatians 6:1-2 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. I am a saved woman and I love The Lord with all of my being but I mess up sometimes and I see nothing wrong with my brother or sister in Christ correcting me. Talking about and talking to someone is not the same. We have to stop being so sensitive and learn to embrace truth. No one wants the truth anymore, but a watered down version of what is really going on. Why is that?

Allow Jesus to be your shield

We all have a purpose, and the Devil will do anything to distract you from what God has called you to do. He will try to hinder you from acting like the body of Christ, don't fall for it. Remember your purpose, rely on the word of God, let your praise be your defense. Allow God's word to consume you so that you are able to stand up to the devil.

Give people something to respect

It is imperative for a woman to know what she is worth. Once you love yourself, you will not allow anyone else to treat you wrong. People only do what you allow. Stop allowing foolishness and it will stop happening. Every person deserves to be treated with respect, but in order to be respected you have to give people something to respect. Act how you want to be treated. Tony Gaskin said something that I really liked, he said " you have to be willing to lose your man in order to keep your man". I loved that, because it is very true. If your partner knows that you are going to stand by his side regardless, why would he alter his behavior? There is a difference between loyalty and stupidity. Loyalty is about being there when a person needs you, and remaining true to them. Stupidity is when you knowingly allow things to take place and you do nothing about it. Show people how to treat you.
